Shopify/WordPress Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shopify/WordPress Intern to join our web development team. This internship is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in building and managing eCommerce and business websites using Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce). You’ll assist in customizing themes, updating content, and learning how real client websites are built, maintained, and optimized.

Key Responsibilities:✅ Shopify Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up Shopify stores, including themes, products, and collections.
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Add or update content, images, and banners on live stores.
• Work with apps and plugins to extend store functionality.
• Assist in managing basic SEO, navigation, and speed optimization.

✅ WordPress Responsibilities:

• Install and configure WordPress themes and plugins.
• Customize themes using Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Assist in setting up and managing WooCommerce for online stores.
• Help with content updates, blog posting, and layout improvements.
• Ensure website responsiveness, browser compatibility, and mobile optimization.

General Tasks:

• Collaborate with designers and content creators to build client-ready sites.
• Help troubleshoot and debug minor website issues.
• Work with version control systems like Git (optional).
• Follow team’s workflow, timelines, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Shopify and WordPress admin dashboards.
• Understanding of page builders like Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
• Willingness to learn Shopify Liquid and WordPress hooks.
• Eagerness to grow in the field of web development and eCommerce.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Nice to Have (Optional but Preferred):

• Exposure to Shopify theme customization or app installation.
• Experience building personal or college projects in WordPress or Shopify.
• Understanding of SEO basics, Google Analytics, or GTM.
• Familiarity with tools like Figma or Canva for design adjustments.
• Knowledge of cPanel, FTP, or basic hosting setup.
